How to set up CY-Alert on your phone for emergencies

The Ministry of Interior has reminded the public that receiving CY-Alert emergency notifications requires updating mobile devices to the latest available software version and selecting the necessary settings, as outlined below. Instructions for selecting notifications on your device Follow the steps below to find the relevant settings and choose which notifications you want to receive. Android devices Go to software settings: from Settings, select Search and type “Software update.” Make sure your phone has the latest software update installed. Find the CY-Alert settings: once the device software is updated, you will find the CY-Alert settings under Safety and Emergency. Select notifications: navigate to Wireless Emergency Alerts. From there, you can select which notifications you want to receive. If the settings do not appear: go to Settings, select Security and Privacy, then Updates and Google Play System Update. Then restart your phone. iOS devices (Apple iPhone) Go to software settings: from Settings, select General, then Software Update. Find the notification settings: in Settings, select Notifications, and the settings appear at the bottom. From there, you can select which notifications you want to receive.
